An extremely rare Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased quarter repeating double dialled astronomical lever pocket watch, circa 1880. Precision lever movement, repeating the hours and quarter hours. A white enamel dial with Roman hours, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and filigree gold hands on the front, a rare calendar to the reverse with an outer rotatable ring for the days of the week, apertures for the months and length of the months, date and lunar phases. An engine turned à goutte case with an engraved escutcheon of a nobleman on the front cover, the back with central engraved flowers and a double sided fly spring mechanism.
