A French verge in a three-colour gold and enamel consular case and protective outer circa 1760. Full plate gilt fusee movement, finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three-arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator, winding through the signed white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, decorative pierced gold hands. Chased and engraved consular case with applied three-colour gold decoration on a matted ground, small polychrome enamel portrait of a lady within a translucent green enamel frame, protective glazed outer case, the bezels covered in faux tortoiseshell set with gilt pique pins.
