Gold and enamel cylinder pocket watch

A French cylinder in fine, slim gold and enamel open faced case, circa 1785. Keywind gilt Lépine calibre movement with a suspended going barrel, plain sector cock with polished steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Signed white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, gold beetle and poker hands. The sprung case back opened by depressing a small button in the pendant, gold bezels of translucent dark blue enamel over an engine turned ground with gilt decoration between slender bands of white enamel, the back covered with translucent light blue enamel. Wound and set through the sprung signed gilt cuvette.
