An English fusee lever in a gold open faced case, hallmarked London circa 1840. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement with dust ring. Harrison’s maintaining power. Engraved cock with diamond endstone, polished steel regulator with silver sector index on the plate. Plain three -arm gold balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Screwed in jewelling, escape, and lever pivots with endstones, English table roller lever escapement. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals and blue steel hands. Plain 18 carat open faced case with engine turned middle. Maker’s mark WR.
