A German 18 carat rose gold hunting cased quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1887. A. Lange & Söhne precision lever movement with gold lever and gold escape wheel, very early version, still without fine adjusting device, manually engraved cock, repeating the hours and quarters, plate completely signed and numbered, additional owner engraving, very rare. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, red gold Louis XV hand. Plain case à goutte with noble coat-of-arms with crown, according to the extract from the archives originally engraved at Lange. Dial and movement signed, case and movement with matching number. Comes with extract from the archives and box.
