Unique and very fine French 18 carat gold and enamel verge pocket watch with chatelaine, circa 1760. Verge movement. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, hands with jewels (some jewels missing). Fine enamel painting o the case back, the front set with jewels (2 small stones missing), opening button with a rose cut diamond. Comes with matching 18 carat gold chatelaine, upper part with an oval enamel medallion, below a decorative element with three Orient pearls, below again the striped enamelled coat of arms cartouche with diamond set monogram PC, on both side a braided cord with a hinged medallion, each with fine enamel painting, movably mounted, one medallion with poison compartment, the other with sealing surface of layered agate. Dial and movement signed.
