A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond set scarab form pendant watch, circa 1890. The glazed miniature movement originally with a cylinder escapement, but later modernized to a lever escapement. Small white enamel dial with Arabic numerals. The reverse of the case is realistically chased and engraved, the top with an opening mechanism, the blue engine turned enamel wings are set with diamonds and open by pressing the button in the concealed crown, further black enamelling also set with diamonds, emerald set eyes, a black enamelled pendant loop decorated with small rose cut diamonds, winding and time setting through the crown.
