A rare English gilt metal and enamel open faced verge pocket watch, circa 1770. Very fine English verge movement. White enamel Louis XV dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, blued steel hands. Louis XV case, both sides with turquoise enamel and floral gold inlays, central a figure scene, the inside also enamelled, gold-coloured branches with leaves on a white ground. Case numbered, movement signed.
