An exceptionally heavy Swiss 18 carat gold hunting-cased ankerchronometer pocket watch with calendar, circa 1870. Ankerchronometer movement, very large gold screwed chronometer balance, palladium hairspring, special lever. The front, a white enamel dial, Roman hours and outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, rose golden hands, second hand missing, a rare calendar with a white enamel chapter ring, display of the date and weekdays on the back. Engine-turned case. Case numbered.
