A heavy Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased lever pocket watch, circa 1890. Polished plate, Geneva striping decoration, exceptional calibre, probably by Patek Philippe, balanced lever. White enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands. Engine turned case, blanc cartouche on the front, engraved. Case numbered, dial signed, movement signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers.

The number does not correspond to the numbering system of Tiffany at that time, but it does correspond to the numbering system of Patek Philippe around 1890. The reference ‘Switzerland’ would also indicate this.
