Important French ensemble of two early Louis XV pieces, circa 1740 and 1760.

Cartel clock. Circa 1740. Eight days brass movement with self striking on bell, half hour striking, pendulum with silk string suspension, plate signed and numbered. Signed white enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, early asymmetrical arrangement of the winding holes. Fire gilt bronze case attributed to Robert Osmond

Impressive coach watch. Circa 1760. Highly complicated verge movement with three barrels for movement, self striking mechanism and alarm, plate signed and numbered, splendid verge bridge, decorated with mythical creatures, extraordinary large three armed balance. Signed, white enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, central alarm disc and presumably original hands. Silver case with bell, splendidly crafted sound openings.

Etienne Le Noir was one of the most important French watchmakers of his time, master since 1717. He was a Royal watchmaker and stands for highest quality. There are cartel clocks of him, which have already achieved collector’s prices between € 30,000 and 50,000 at auctions.
