An early and very fine Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased quarter repeating lever precision watch, circa 1875. High-quality Patek Philippe precision lever movement, repeating the quarter hours, wolf’s toothing. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands. Plain case with Patek Philippe punch. Case and movement with matching numbers, cuvette signed and numbered.

The current polished plain à goutte gold case was originally decorated with an applied gold nobility monogram and a gift inscription on the spring lid. Both were professionally removed in the post-war period.
