An important and heavy deck chronometer pocket watch made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, Switzerland, circa 1875. The white enamel dial features Roman hours, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands. Patek Philippe made only a few chronometers with this deck caliber, some with lever escapement and some with spring detent escapement. This special edition with gold wheels and helical hairspring was probably made for the English market.
