An impressive and heavy Swiss 14 carat rose gold hunting cased pocket chronometer, circa 1870. Very fine bar movement, chain/fusee, chronometer balance, chronometer escapement, gold wheel, helical hairspring, screwed gold chatons. Cuvette inscribed Chronomètre a Renversement. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, subsidiary seconds, gold hands. Engine-turned case, the front with blank cartouche. Case numbered, cuvette signed and numbered. Accompanied by, probably, the original key.
