An early, heavy and very fine German 18 carat rose gold hunting cased quarter repeating lever pocket watch, circa 1887. A. Lange & Söhne precision lever movement, gold lever, gold escape wheel, still without fine adjusting device, hand engraved cock, repeating the hours and quarter hours. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, subsidiary seconds, original rose gold Louis XV hands. Plain case, nobility coat of arms with a crown on the front. Case and movement signed and numbered, dial signed, case and movement with matching numbers. Comes with an Extract from the Archives adn the original box.
