An important German triple cased repeating verge coach watch with self-strike and alarm, circa 1750-1767. Highly complicated verge movement, four magnificently engraved barrels, Tompion type fine adjusting device, decorated plate, extravagant pillars. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and steel hands. Leather outer case with stand, a silver second case with melted lacquer or enamel in tortoiseshell optics on the back, the third case also silver, four windings for the movement on the back. Movement signed.
