An early Swiss silver double-sided World Time watch with triple calendar, moon phases and age of the moon, circa 1890. Swiss lever movement, five astronomical complications and world time display. The front with white enamel dial displaying the Greenwich-Time, triple calendar, moon phase and moon age, blued steel hands, the back with white enamel world time display showing the time in seven different cities. Plain case.

Watches like these are extremely rare, especially in the present version with additional astronomical complications. They were made in Switzerland for the English market and exported from England to India and Russia. The retailer was H.M. Emanuel & Son, Portsea.
