A German marine chronometer with 56-hour power reserve, circa 1958. Extremely fine Glashütte chronometer movement, spring detent chronometer escapement, helical hairspring. Silvered dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, 56-hour power reserve indication, subsidiary seconds, gold hands. Original mahogany box with company plate, two-part, gimbal suspension, original key in the box, screwed brass case. Dial signed and numbered, movement and case with matching numbers. Comes with Wempe service certificate from 1996.
