Hunting cased keywound pocket watch by John Donegan

An Irish 18 carat gold and enamel hunting cased keywound lever pocket watch, circa 1838. Full plate gilt finished English lever movement, chain fusée, three armed balance. Gilt engine turned and engraved dial with Roman numerals, floral and swag motif to the center, outer swag motif at the rim, engine turned subsidiary dial and blued steel hands. Chased and engraved case, green enamel clover motif to the front and back covers, the front central plaque with engraved crest, outer blue enamel border, the back cover engraved lute with blue and red enamel highlights, engraved swags to the edges, initials to the inside cover by key holes, hinged back. Movement signed and numbered, case numbered with Dublin gold marks and date stamp for 1838.
