A very fine French silver open faced quarter repeating verge pocket watch with concealed erotic automaton, circa 1820. Verge movement, repeating the hours and quarter hours, simultaneous triggering of the automaton. White enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, blued steel Breguet hands. Engine-turned case, reeded band, multicolour figured automaton with concealed erotic scene in the cuvette. Case numbered.
