A very fine and heavy Swiss 18 carat gold open faced quality Extra deck chronometer, circa 1901. Exquisite chronometer movement, lever escapement, Guillaume balance, extremely rare swan-neck adjusting device with two regulator hands, wolf’s toothing, movement as prescribed for observatory chronometers numbered twice 115412. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands. Plain case with double signature Patek, Philippe & Cie Genève and Ig(naz) Marenzeller nachfolger K.u.K. Hoflieferanten Wien. Dial signed, case, numbered, movement signed and numbered. Comes with an extract from the chronometer archives.
