A very fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced five-minute repeating lever pocket watch, circa 1892. Made for Spaulding & Co, Chicago. High-grade precision lever movement, repeating the hours and five minutes, Geneva striping decoration, wolf’s toothing, special balanced lever. White enamel dial with black Arabic hours, red Arabic five minutes register and red seconds, subsidiary seconds. Plain case. Dial signed, cuvette and movement signed and numbered, case numbered. Comes with the original box.
