A French 18 carat gold and enamel pocket watch with original matching gold and enamel chatelaine, circa 1850. Cylinder escapement. White enamel dial, filigree Breguet hands. Case with translucent blue enamel over engine-turned ground, applied elaborate gold monogram AL. The chatelaine also with blue engine-turned enamel and the same monogram as on the watch, four braided strands with enamel medallions, gold and enamel seal pendant, gold and enamel key pendant (square missing). Movement numbered. Comes with the signed original box.
