An English pocket watch with date in silver pair cases, circa 1695.
Full plate fire gilt movement with beautiful decorative pillars. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel set-up between the plates. Plain steel balance. Pierced and engraved balance cock with very unusual glazed cover, pierced and engraved plate for the silver regulator disc. Silver champlevé dial with Roman numerals, beetle and poker hands. Date marked in Arabic numerals in a square aperture. Plain inner case, silver pendant and ring bow.
