An American lever in a gold engine turned full hunter case, circa 1885. Full plate gilt keywind movement with going barrel. Engraved cock, compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, screwed in jewelling. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, and blue steel hands. Decorative gold full hunter case, rope effect middle and reeded bezels. Flat engine-turned covers, the front with a vacant shield-shaped cartouche, gold cuvette. Maker’s mark BT.
