Gold and agate set quarter repeater with chatelaine by Peter Vincent

Very fine English 22 carat gold and agate set pair cased quarter repeating watch with chatelaine made for the Dutch market, circa 1750. Hinged gilt brass full plate movement with baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three armed balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English cock pierced and engraved with a mask and foliage, quarter repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring arched every five minutes in the Dutch manner, original pierced gilt brass Louis XV hands. Bezel and back outer case set with 22 agate plaques within rocaille decorated gold frame, back inner case pierced and engraved with a mask, a small landscape and inhabited foliage, the centre with an engraved flower. Signed on the back plate. Comes with a matching chatelaine decorated en suite and set with 32 agate plaques, gold seal and crank key.
