Very fine, early French 18-carat gold quarter repeating keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1860. Nickel-silver movement, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Hinged gold cuvette with engraved gothic E&K under a crown. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, and original blued steel spade hands. Polished case. Dial and cuvette signed, case and movement numbered.
