Rose gold open-faced quarter repeater by H. Redard & Fils

A fine and rare Swiss 18-carat rose gold open-faced quarter repeating keyless lever pendant watch, circa 1890. Frosted gilt movement, 30 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Gold hinged cuvette with engine-turned border. Off-white enamel dial with blue Arabic numerals, outer gold dot minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, and original gold Louis XV hands. Polished case. Cuvette signed.
