A fine French 18 carat gold, enamel, pearl- and diamond-set open faced keyless lever pendant watch made for the Indian market, circa 1910. Frosted gilt movement, 16 jewels, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track and original gold spade hands. Hinged bezel set with pearls, hinged case back overlaid with dark blue translucent enamel, central star set with diamonds, peripheral pearls, detachable gold and enamel brooch fitting. Case numbered, movement signed B & S.GD.G. Accompanied by a gold and enamel brooch and fitted box.
