A fine and interesting American 14 carat multi coloured gold and diamond set hunting cased keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1885. Frosted gilt 3/4 plate movement, 5 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel flat balance spring. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds and original blued steel spade hands. Lavishly decorated case with applied foliate motives and scroll pattern, engine turned case band, the front centered by monogram and case back by diamond. Dial and movement signed, case numbered.
