Multi-coloured gold and enamel verge

A fine Swiss 18 carat three-colour gold and enamel open faced verge pocket watch, circa 1770. Hinged gilt-brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, plain brass three-arm steel balance, flat balance spring, polished steel end-piece. Silver dial, engine-turned with champlevé Roman numerals, outer minute track and later blued steel Breguet hands. Louis XVI case, engraved bezel, the back decorated with a finely painted on enamel scene of a lady and her son departing from a building, a man pointing and two further figures in the background, three-colour gold floral border.
