A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased grande and petite sonnerie self-striking and minute repeating keyless lever clock watch, circa 1880. Rhodium-plated movement, Ø 43 mm, two-train with differential winding, 35 jewels, a counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, striking the hours and quarters on gongs with two hammers, a Silence/Sonnerie selection lever on the edge of the bezel, the repeating activated by a slide on the band. A hinged gold cuvette over a transparent gold-rimmed cover. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel Breguet hands. The polished case with a reeded band. Dial signed, case numbered.
