A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating lever pocket watch, circa 1880. Nickel plated movement, Ø 45 mm, Geneva Striping decoration, 31 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Hinged gold cuvette, a glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. White enamel dial with narrow Roman hours, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel Breguet hands. An engine-turned case with polished borders and a reeded band. Dial, case and cuvette signed, movement signed and numbered.
