A fine, rare and large Swiss chrome open faced keyless lever 1/5th second timer with split-seconds feature and progressive combined minute and hour registers, circa 1957. Compteur Dedoublant. Sold for 41,000 French Francs in 1957. Matte gilt movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Stainless steel hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with outer black 1/5th second divisions, inner concentric 60-minute and 12-hour registers and original blued steel hands. Massive case, polished, button in the crown for the stop/start of the chronograph, button at 11 for the split-seconds and at 1 for return-to-zero. Dial signed. Accompanied by the original L. Leroy & Cie sales receipt.
