A fine, rare and unusual Swiss 18 carat gold skeletonized split seconds chronograph pocket watch made by Louis Brandt, circa 1980. Fully chased and engraved gilt brass, brushed skeletonized movement with 23 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, Breguet balance spring and swan neck micrometre regulator, the visible brushed steel chronograph work on the back plate. The face features a black enamel chapter ring with gold Roman hours, a minute track with fifth of a second divisions and Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a 30 minute register at 12 and fine hands. Case and movement signed.
