A fine Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1890. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva Striping decoration, 19 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with the technical details. White enamel dial with Roman hours, Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gold Louis XV hands. Polished case. Movement numbered and signed Concisas Brevitas under the hour hammer, the trade name of J. Meylan-Truan.
