A very fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless lever dress watch, circa 1926 and (encased) 1936. Sold on March 5th, 1937. Rhodium-plated movement (made in 1926), Geneva Striping decoration, stamped twice with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, 18 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, moustache straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator. Black dial with painted gold hour indexes, applied gold Arabic quarter-hour numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds dial and original gold Feuille hands. Polished and brushed case. Dial, case and movement signed, case and movement numbered. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
