Gold, enamel and diamond-set full hunter attributed to Louis Audemars

A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond-set hunting cased keyless lever pendant watch, circa 1870. Retailed by F.J. Baron, Geneva. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 15 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, gold wheel train, straight-line lever escapement with circular counterpoise, bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Gold hinged cuvette engraved with the technical details and with engine-turned border. White enamel dial with narrow Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and original blued steel Breguet hands. Polished band, both covers with engraved gold and rose-cut diamond-set swags against a translucent royal blue guilloché ground, matted and black enamel decorated borders. Dial signed by the retailer.
