A fine Swiss 18 Carat gold open faced quarter repeating cylinder pocket watch, circa 1825. Matte gilt movement, standing barrel, jewelled cylinder escapement with steel escape wheel, three arm gold balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator with bimetallic temperature compensation curb, repeating with two polished steel hammers on two square section gongs. Hinged gilt metal cuvette. Gold dial with polished Roman numerals on a matted ground, outer minute divisions on a polished reserve, engine-turned centre and original blued steel serpentine hands. Engine-turned case, master mark IE, flat band. Case and movement numbered.
