A very fine and elegant Swiss 18 Carat gold, pearl and diamond-set keyless cylinder pendant watch with a short gold chain and spherical gold and pearl-set fob, circa 1890. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, wolf’s tooth winding, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Gold hinged cuvette with engine-turned border. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals and original gold Louis XV hands. Bezel and bow set with seed pearls, the case back entirely set with a pearl lattice highlighted between with rose-cut diamonds, pearl border to match the bezel. Cuvette signed, case numbered. Accompanied by the original Gast gold tooled morocco fitted box.
