A very fine Swiss 14 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1870. Rhodium-plated movement, 29 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, the pallet fork upper pivot with gold endplate, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Gold hinged cuvette, glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. White enamel dial with narrow Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and original paste-set gold hands. Engine-turned case with polished borders. Dial signed.
