A fine Swiss gold open-faced quarter repeating lever pocket watch, circa 1890. Movement with 13 jewels, lateral moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, repeating on gongs by activating the pusher at the bow. Hinged cuvette engraved with movement details. White enamel dial with printed black Roman numerals, outer minute track, and original gold Breguet hands. Bezel and back rim engraved in floral and leaf decoration, engine-turned case back engraved with a crest surrounded by floral and leaf decoration. Case numbered. Accompanied by a 42 cm yellow and white gold chain and a key.
