Gold open faced complicated watch

A very fine and extremely rare English 18 carat gold open faced minute repeating keyless pocket watch with perpetual calendar and moon phases made by Dent in London, circa 1890. The gilt brass ¾ plate movement with Nicole Nielsen winding and hand setting, a lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold and platinum meantime and temperature adjustment screws, blued steel balance spring with a terminal curve and an index regulator, minute repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. A hinged gold cuvette with an engraved presentation inscription. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the date, days of the week with concentric seconds, the months with the leap year cycle, an aperture for the moon phases and blued steel spade & whip hands. The massive, plain case with master mark CN/EN for Charles Nielsen and Emile Nicole and correctors in the band. Dial signed, movement signed and numbered.
