A very fine and rare Swiss 18-carat gold open-faced cylinder pocket watch, circa 1880. Frosted gilt movement, bar caliber, 6 jewels, cylinder escapement, three armed gilt balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Engraved hinged gold cuvette. Guilloché gold dial with painted Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial, the center engraved in a floral and leaf pattern and original blued steel Breguet hands. Reeded band, case back with engine-turned decoration. Cuvette signed. Accompanied by a winding key.
