Gold and enamel ladies’ watch

A fine Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and pearl set open faced pendant watch made by Vacheron in Geneva, circa 1870. The movement with a cylinder escapement. A dial with partially replaced hands. The case back with a central polychrome enamel scene depicting Clipping the Wings of Cupid, surrounded by black, red and white enamel floral decoration enhanced with pearls on a textured ground, the outermost border is engraved and decorated with black enamel scrolls and small white enamel faux pearls. Cuvette signed and numbered, movement numbered.
