An Austrian silver and enamel open faced oval verge pocket watch, circa 1850-1900. Fitted with an earlier verge movement.
The dial is decorated with polychrome enamel foliate scrolls, a central azure blue chapter ring with Roman hours in cartouches and outer minute divisions. On the case back a polychrome enamel scene with a classically dressed couple in a landscape, the band painted with ladies’ heads, the interior painted with a seascape, restoration to the enamel throughout.
