An English gold key wind full hunter pocket watch, Chester Hallmark for 1877. Gilt 3/4 plate English lever movement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance. White enamel dial, black Roman numerals, black outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 and blued steel Breguet style hands. 18 Carat engine turned consular case, monogrammed cartouche to front, later presentation inscription to cuvette. The inscription to the cuvette reads ‘Presented to the Rev. Alexander K. Watt by the members of the congregation and friends as a token of esteem and appreciation of his services on the occasion of his leaving for Ruthven Arronshire 1st April 1910’. Case stamped ‘SQ’.
