A very fine, rare English 18 carat gold open faced two train independent dead centre seconds lever pocket watch, Hallmarked London 1877-1878. Matte gilt 3/4 plate movement, two train, 17 jewels, 8 in visible screwed gold chatons, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature and meantime adjustment screws, large blued steel balance spring with overcoil, index regulator, foliate engraved balance cock. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and original blued steel spade hands. Polished case, stop slide on the band for the centre seconds. Dial and movement signed.
