A Swiss 18 carat rose gold minute repeating hunting cased keyless lever pocket watch made for the South American market, circa 1890. Nickel finished lever movement, 28 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, minute repeating on two gongs activated through a slide in the band. Gold cuvette. Silvered engine turned to dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, gilt florets to the centre zone and gilt scroll design to the rim. Chased and engraved case with floral and scroll motif to both covers. Cuvette signed, case and cuvette numbered.
