An English silver open faced pocket chronometer, circa 1847. Gilt finished chain fusée movement, spring detent escapement with Arnold style detent set into the top plate, freesprung bimetallic compensation balance, helical hairspring, diamond endstone. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Plain case. Dial and movement signed, case and pendant stamped with London date letter for 1847. Comes with original fitted wooden box.
